You're in the gym car park at 5:40 pm, the day has drained you, and there's a can in your bag. Does it matter which one? Less than you'd think. C5 Turbo and C5 Extreme both give you 200mg of caffeine, and both have zero sugar and zero calories. Turbo is the smaller, cheaper can with creatine HCL. Extreme is the bigger can with a longer list of amino acids. For most people, we'd start with Turbo.

A bigger can doesn't mean a stronger drink
This is the part that catches people out. C5 Extreme holds about a third more liquid, but the caffeine is the same 200mg. You're paying for more drink and a different formula, not a stronger hit of caffeine.
So if you're choosing purely on the kick you feel, you can stop here and buy whichever you prefer the taste of. The rest of the decision comes down to the small stuff: how much you want to drink before training, and which ingredients you care about.
Pick C5 Turbo if you want less to drink
A 355ml can sits easier in your stomach if you train soon after you drink it. It's also AED 2.50 cheaper per can, which adds up to AED 30 across a pack of 12. And it's the can with creatine HCL in the formula.
One honest note on the creatine: we wouldn't treat Turbo as your daily creatine. If building up creatine is the goal, take a proper daily dose on rest days too, for example with CR5 creatine gummies.
At the time of writing, you can get C5 Turbo Sour Cherry and C5 Turbo Grape Nova, with more flavours in the C5 Turbo range.
Pick C5 Extreme if you like to sip on the way
Some people like a tall can they can work through on the drive to the gym, and 473ml gives you that. Extreme also has L-arginine, agmatine sulfate and betaine in the formula, plus vitamins B3, B6 and B12. If you've tried Turbo and want to compare, it's a fair next step.
Stock is tighter here. At the time of writing, C5 Extreme Fruit Punch and C5 Extreme Pink Lemonade are the two flavours available.
Who should skip both
If caffeine gives you the shakes or keeps you up, 200mg isn't a small amount. By the 80mg we use for a standard espresso, one can is about two and a half espressos. Evening trainers should think twice as well. If that's you, have a look at the caffeine-free C5 Night drinks instead.
And if you slept well and ate properly, you may not need a pre-workout at all. Plenty of good sessions start with a banana and a glass of water.
How to drink either one
- 🥤 Have one can before training, and follow the label.
- ☕ Count any coffee you've had that day. Most guidance for healthy adults puts the daily limit around 400mg of caffeine.
- 🚫 Don't stack it with another pre-workout.
